In what ways does the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 change America? What lasting inventions and ideas did it introduce into American culture? What important figures were critically influenced by the Fair?

The fair was successful in pursuing the image of American ingenuity and perseverance. We did the unthinkable and proved many opposing nations wrong. The Chicago World Fair was what really started the perception of the American image as we now we seen as more advanced and intellectual. No one thought any country could outdo the French at the Paris Fair until the Chicago fair proved them wrong. Another change that occurred was the positive image of Chicago was now being portrayed rather than it being known as the wild west city characterized by New Yorkers. The Chicago World Fair was definitely an intellectual, extravagant display of grace and excellence that the United States contained. With the increased use of electricity and the Ferris wheel, the United States soared from the Chicago World Fair. Many famous architects and historical figures were influenced by the Fair. Historical figures such as Susan B. Anthony, Buffalo Bill Cody and Thomas Edison were all influenced by the fair. Anyone who took interest in the engineering aspect of the fair felt it was a profitable experience. The fair was successful in pursuing the image of American ingenuity and perseverance.
